Annette v Neil

A BAD DAY FOR RESPONSIBILITY

EVENTUALLY COMES GOOD

Match 1 – Annette v Neil
Venue – Away – Harborne Hockey Club
Kit – Away – Fancy Dress... one of my least favourites
Attendance – Full House
Other relevant information – More like a cup game with women from all divisions from Premiership to Conference. Statistics very much in my favour (ratio 2 women:1man), anything less than three points would be a defeat.

A bright start when a walk to the gents means a surprise meeting with a long forgotten flame. Smile strikes like a flash with immediate recognition driving home the first goal of the evening. Can Compliment capitalize on this early gem?

Neil v Some Nurse

SENSE OF HUMOUR EQUALISES

BUT ATTITUDE AT FAULT IN REPLAY

Match 3 – Neil v The Anonymous Nurse
Venue – Home – The Brook Tavern, Selly Oak
Kit – Home – Standard civilian clothing
Attendance – Choc a block – 4 deep at the bar
Other relevant information – arrived at the ground late, approximately 10 pm

Things were slow at the bar, with only time to drop 2 pints before the final whistle. In need of a contingency plan, Attitude suggests a way forward with a couple of bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale imported from the offy next door. Responsibility gets a game whilst Enthusiasm and Sense of Humour notch up a 2-0 lead. But, will the Ref (landlord) snatch victory in the last minute with a red card for Attitude\'s dissent?
